More About The Philadelphia Police Department Special Victims Unit:



The Philadelphia Police Department Special Victims Unit refers all cases of child sexual abuse to the Alliance. A representative from the Police Department participates in PCA’s morning intake meeting where all new reports are reviewed, a worker/investigator for each case is identified, and decisions about types of services needed are made. In addition, a representative from the police department attends the monthly case review were the multidisciplinary team shares pertinent information related to complex cases. This collaboration allows law enforcement to utilize PCA’s expertise in the areas of forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and mental health therapy.
